Class 2 are poets!
Here is our class 'Autumn Senses', poem which we wrote together as a starter, using ideas we discussed with our talk partners.
Autumn looks like spiky conkers coming out.
Autumn sounds like the wavy wind.
Autumn feels like crispy, crunchy leaves.
Autumn tastes like tasty blackberries.
Autumn smells like delicious, orange
pumpkins and smoky fireworks.
Are we poets? Yes we are!
We then went on to write our own poems. It is the first time the children in Year 1 have ever written a poem! Read Year 1 and 2 poems by following the link at the bottom of the page.
Next we are going to be authors. We will be reading ' Funnybones' by Allan Ahlberg and writing our own Funnybones stories.
Look at what we did last year!

Fun was had by everyone in our class theatre. We made puppets and wrote and acted out our own plays. |
We went to the Life Centre and built our own rockets to find out all about Forces. |
We found out about Samuel Pepys and the Great Fire of London. We wrote our own diaries. |
